CHALLENGE

"Submission is the ability to lay down the everlasting burden of needing to get our own way."
- Becoming Like Christ by Richard Foster
Have this mind among yourselves, which is yours in Christ Jesus, who, though he was in the form of God, did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped, but made himself nothing, taking the form of a servant, being born in the likeness of men. And being found in human form, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross. Therefore God has highly exalted him and bestowed on him the name that is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.
-Philippians 2:5-11

amen, what a short post with such an incredible impact. Submission is something self doesn't want, I have to daily submit to His leading and there is a peace that comes with humbling myself, acknowledging that I don't know it all, that I am vulnerable, and that I need His guidance, His forgiveness and His love. Thank you.

Islam means submission.

For me, it is submission to Truth that is important, not a convenient interpretation of Truth. Unfortunately, that is difficult, since all too often we interpret God's word in our image.
