QUOTE OF THE DAY

"I'm slowing down to 80!"
I said this to my daughter as we were flying out to Grand Rapids this weekend. We were late for a 25th Wedding Anniversary Party. We had been stuck in 3 different construction areas. It occurred to me that this is how life has been lately. Been rushing and then hitting "stop and go" traffic. The good thing is that things are "slowing down to 80" for me.
I have to say that I miss you all. I miss reading about your lives. I miss feeling like you are a part of mine. My committment is to get back online at least 4 times a week.
Lastly, thank you for praying for my daughter's friend. She (and her friend) are recovering nicely from the transplant. They appreciated your prayers.
Love you all. Going to check out your blogs now!!

So happy to see a word from you!!
I hope you feel all the hugs and prayers coming your way daily - cuz they never stop.
The love that God gives through His people is surrounding you like a hedge!!

I think one of the worst mistakes people make is to try and enforce a regimen on their lives (of course, I happen to be regimen and structure free in nature - so, I might be biased). When you do something, make sur eyou do it because you want to, not because you are obligated to. The thrill of obligation quickly runs thin.

Online communities can be great and certainly go some measure to fulfilling fundamental social bonds. On the other hand, real, live people are much better (except for the fact you have to deal with them in the here and now, unlike online where we can interact on our own terms and schedules).
