Thank you very much, kaymac. My mother is dying and will probably be dead before the end of the weekend. However, she is having a good death. I know that may sound crass, but the truth is that she is dying at home, attended by her husband and children (except me, I was there Tuesday and Wednesday morning and will be there tonight and tomorrow and the weekend). She is without pain (there was no need for morphine) and she is peaceful. It is hard to watch a loved one die, but it is also comforting knowing that she will die in a peaceful sleep and she will not die alone.
I will also pray for Rebecca.
Any idea how things are working out for your coworker?
praying for your friends...
ReplyDeleteI will! I will! I will!
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely praying.

ReplyDeleteRichard: I understand. I don't know that you are ever fully prepared to go through this and being together is so important for all.
ReplyDeleteYour mom sounds like a wonderful person and I hope that when you feel ready, you will share more about her with us.
Please know that while we can't shoulder your burden, we are walking alongside you...even from a distance.
Thanks for asking about Fred. I will post on that.
God's peace, my friend.
