Toys R Us is quite possibly the best store ever invented. Its the only one I know of that you can legally buy firetrucks. Yeah, theyre toys, but not when my cabbage patch kid drives them. Theyre real. No seriously. They are real. Havent you seen Toy Story????!!! *looks around nervously*
lol! this made me smile. I have been wanting to go to Toys R Us but just haven't had the time. It has been awhile since I paid them a visit, but I plan to go before Christmas and hopefully it is not as crowded as the malls have been.
Your post before this one moved me so incredibly. How I long to hear His voice. I have read Psalms several times, but today it was if I had read this for the very first time. Maybe God was telling me again to be still, to listen, to wait.
L-3: miss Toys R Us now that my girl is so dang grown up. As to the other, I love how God's Word is always alive & He always has new to teach us/show us.
Thats kinda the point. I am not sure I ever HAD a relationship with God. It was shaky at best. I prayed, sure. But I just dont get that tingle anymore. I dont feel it, I dont think its real. So my story is about the people I followed around during that time in my life. I dont know if the God parts were real. I cried during worship, sure. But I think it was because music is beautiful. I did alot of stuff at the church, participated alot, but am not really sure I did anything "for God". Mostly it was for everyone else because I used to be a people pleaser. I wanted to do EVERYTHING cause my friends were. They were at church every sunday participating in everything Jeremy came up with. So was I! God didnt really -play a role in it too much. Sorry to disappoint. Feel free to ask away if I didnt clarify well enough. Im not always clear as a communicator.
I didnt believe in the bible at any point really. I mean I LOVE psalms and proverbs and respect it as a piece of literature, but never really got into the Bible even back in the Bible thumping days. It never moved me so I dont expect it to now either. I did read it, (most of the entire thing actually) and I have some verses memorized, that sort of thing. Mostly though I just read it. I believe it was written by man. Well, because it was.
Oh, and please dont take me offensively. I always try to say that as a disclaimer. Im not knockin your beliefs, just sharing mine. (I dont think youre the type to get offended easily, but I have had that happen to me where people get SUUUUPER pissed at me for sharing my views.)
Kids know their priorities.
